The Wellness Show at the Vancouver Convention Centre is back and being their 20th year, they are promising to put out no stops! With over 300+ exhibitors, a variety of workshops and seminars, this is a show that’s not to be missed! Past shows have introduced us to natural home cleaning solutions, affordable organic eating, and cool little gadgets that have you ooohing and ahhhhhing. Pamper Me Canada will be there on Sunday, February 19th, perusing the stalls, tasting the food samples (this year, there is a real focus on healing teas and local cheeses) and even taking in a few on-stage cooking demos. These are the demos and seminars we plan on catching:
1pm – Hart House Restaurant Executive Chef, Kris Kabush, will be showing us how to make a Shrimp and Avocado Salad with Quinoa and Tomato Coriander Vinaigrette, Seared Scallops with Braised Kale, Chorizo, and Pistachio Sauce Vierge
2pm – “Alive and Kicking – Increase Health, Lose Stubborn Weight and Be Happy”
3pm – “Healing Depression and Anxiety Holistically”.
Check out the full program!
For the kids and pets, there will also be exhibits and workshops focusing on them.
Tickets are $16 at the door, $13.50 pre-purchased online or you can get a $2 off coupon at any Choices Market to be discounted at the door. For the enthusiasts, $30 is available for all 3 days.
One thing’s for sure, there’s no better way to start off 2012 than spending some time discovering wellness in its many forms. See you there!
